Studio 3015
Studio 3015 is a professional design practice at Winchester School of Art that leads on a wide variety of education, research and social projects, supporting activities within the School, across the University and working with external partners from a range of professional and civic domains.
Core to its mission the Studio employs graduates and facilitates learning opportunities for the School’s wider student body, supporting engagement through live briefs and design projects, and working in collaboration with design educators, alumni, internationally leading design studios and a network of key partners.
The Studio fosters a range of approaches through critical design enquiry, challenging prevailing knowledge and exploring alternative methods for realising design solutions. We engage and react to social, cultural, and political issues to heighten awareness, challenge societal perceptions and contribute to critical design dialogues. Through this work the Studio is engaged in the co-production of knowledge through dedicated research initiatives and delivers projects that challenge traditional parameters of pedagogy.
Studio 3015 welcomes engagement with projects that demonstrate critical inquiry, research and experimentation, with the view to produce tangible outcomes informed by contemporary debates and issues. Established within its own dedicated design space, and drawing upon a diversity of talent, the Studio provides bespoke and innovative approaches to promote the broader questioning and rethinking needed for advancing future design practices, while also providing an experience that complements current studio teaching and research.
